Traffic alert: York Blvd. closed until May 2

York Blvd. will be closed from Monday, April 24 to Tuesday, May 2 in both directions between the York University Busway and Ian Macdonald Blvd. The closure is required in order to facilitate utility work for the Schulich Expansion.

Vehicles entering York Blvd from Keele Street will only be able to make a right turn on the diversion road through the York Blvd Parking Lot or make a u-turn on York Blvd. There will be no vehicular access to private vehicles on Ian Macdonald Blvd North of Fine Arts Road.

TTC, GO Transit and York University buses will be diverted starting Monday, April 24 until Tuesday, May 2. (The dates may be subject to change due to weather conditions.)  All buses will enter and exit the Harry W. Arthurs Common utilizing Ian Macdonald Blvd. from The Pond Road.  There will be no disruptions to any bus stops.

Due to the bus diversion, increased traffic congestion may occur along The Pond Road resulting in temporary transit delays during peak times.  Vehicles entering York Blvd. from Keele Street will only be able to make a right turn on the diversion road through the York Blvd. Parking Lot or make a U-turn on York Blvd.

There will be no private vehicular access on Ian Macdonald Blvd. north of Fine Arts Road.  Private vehicles are not permitted to enter the Harry W. Arthurs Common.

All pedestrian sidewalks will be maintained.
