Steeles Avenue West lane restrictions east of Murray Ross Parkway June 12 to 15

Construction sign

From Friday, June 12, at 8pm until 4am on Monday, June 15, Steeles Avenue West will be reduced to one lane westbound and one lane eastbound from east of Murray Ross Parkway to Founders Road for traffic bridge maintenance work. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times. The speed limit in the area has been reduced to 40 km/h, and it will be strictly enforced by Toronto Police. Due to the nature of the work, motorists and transit users may face traffic delays.

Paid duty officers will be directing traffic on Steeles Avenue West during this time.

The City of Toronto normal working hours are 7am to 7pm. However, the City of Toronto has approved a noise bylaw amendment for major transit projects, allowing contractors to work extended hours when required. Extended work hours are expected to occur at Pioneer Village Station until June 2015.
