As AUL, she has worked with the library leadership team and with five departmental reports, including Technical Services, Resource Sharing, Library Accessibility Services (for users with disabilities), and the Clara Thomas Archives and Special Collections, to develop and implement strategic library directions. In 2009-10, she spent her sabbatical as visiting librarian at Scholars Portal, contributing to a number of initiatives including the second iteration of the MINES for Libraries survey for the Ontario Council of University Libraries and a consortial patron-driven acquisition e-book pilot.

She was a member of the 2009-10 cohort of the Association of Research Libraries Research Library Leadership Fellows Program. She has also attended two Harvard Leadership Institutes for academic librarians. Ms. Davidson holds an MLS from the University of Toronto and a BA in English literature from Western University.

I am grateful to Ms. Davidson for agreeing to serve in this key role. Together with Associate University Librarian Mark Robertson, who will be taking on some additional duties, Ms. Davidson looks forward to working closely with colleagues in the libraries and providing leadership during this important time.
