The report documents the tremendous wave of change underway at the University, from the physical transformation of its campuses to the global thought leadership of York’s Faculty and students.

“I am delighted to share this update on the University and our planning for the future. This is a time of great change at York, as we continue to explore our strengths and aims, advance our strategic priorities, and reaffirm our deep commitment to academic and social innovation,” said York University President and Vice-Chancellor Mamdouh Shoukri. “This report is very forward-looking, and so I think it captures the spirit of optimism, energy, and momentum we are seeing across the York community.”

Featured within the pages of the President’s Year in Review are the many strengths and achievements from across the University. The awards and accomplishments of University community members are highlighted in a two-page Accolades spread. There’s a glimpse into the future as the report details a number of exciting capital projects underway that are transforming York University’s physical presence, including the construction of a new home for the Lassonde School of Engineering and the CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Athletics Stadium. Each of York’s five strategic priorities are featured in the publication, which include Academic & Research Excellence; Student Success; Community Engagement; Employee Engagement; and Resource Integration and Planning.

A running theme throughout the President’s Year in Review is the University’s award-winning “This is my time” awareness campaign, which was expanded in 2013 to include the accomplishments of leading faculty and alumni.

As in previous years, and in keeping with the University’s continued focus on environmental sustainability, the report is printed on FSC-certified paper, which contains 30 per cent recycled content. There is also an easy-to-read electronic version that is available for download as a PDF.
