24 DJs in 24 hours to mix live to radio broadcasts at CHRY 105.5 FM Tuesday

CHRY 105.5 FM is inviting a huge roster of DJ’s to York University to participate in Canada’s largest DJ Mix Relay Marathon broadcast 24 hour/24 DJs.

This 24-hour event will mark the third annual event of its kind and a unique broadcast experience never attempted on Toronto 24DJSradio airwaves until CHRY 105.5FM established it in 2011. It will also launch the radio stations 2013 public fundraising drive “celebrating 26 years on the FM dial”.

Twenty-four highly influential DJ’s and night life industry leaders will grace the air-waves with one-hour mix DJ sets over the course of 24 hours. The first set will begin at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 15 with world WTF Turntabilist champion DJ GROUCH and end at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 16 with world renowned I*AM Artist and Toronto Raptors Game Day DJ 4KORNERS.

The 24-hour Mix DJ Relay Marathon will cover a wide array of genres and profile some of the city’s more influential DJ talents from radio, club and nightlife across Southern Ontario, including Legendary Soca DJ DR. JAY – DE SOCA PRINCE at 4pm on Tuesday, National Redbull 3Style champion DJ MENSA at 6pm, the World Famous – STARTING FROM SCRATCH at 5pm, and Wednesday morning 2012 Regional Redbull 3Style champion DJ MAKEM at 10am and several more notable DJ’s.

CHRY Radio’s studios are inside The Student Centre at York’s Keele campus. The event will unfold live over the 24-hour period in front of live audiences of up to 1,200 youth and community members in locations throughout the newly renovated centre.
