Nightly traffic restrictions in place on Steeles Ave. W. until Saturday, Sept. 7

Steeles Avenue West between Murray Ross Parkway and Northwest Gate is restricted to one lane eastbound and one lane westbound nightly until Saturday, Sept. 7. The restriction will be in place from 8pm to 4am. The restriction is necessary to allow crews to complete repairs to a traffic bridge. One lane will remain open westbound and one lane will remain open eastbound at all times. Due to the nature of the work, motorists and transit users may face traffic delays.

Paid duty officers will be on Steeles Ave. W. to direct traffic during the lane restrictions.

Pedestrians are asked to use the sidewalk on the north side of Steeles.

The speed limit has been reduced to 40 kilometres an hour on Steeles between Jane Street and Keele Street. The new speed limit will be strictly enforced by Toronto Police.
