Good news for York University students, staff and faculty. The YU-card is now accepted as a payment method at five off-campus restaurants:
- Pizza Pizza (for delivery orders placed through the company’s call centre);
- Chili’s located at 21 Colossus Drive in Vaughan, Ont.;
- Blueberry Hill at its new location at 2777 Steeles Avenue at Keele Street;
- Boston Pizza at the 50 Interchange Way location in Vaughan; and
- McDonald’s at 3320 Steeles Avenue at Highway 400.
All students, faculty and staff members may use their YU-card Flex Dollars at these merchants. There are also some added perks. For orders to Pizza Pizza, you can be anywhere they deliver – whether you’re a student in residence or a faculty or staff member at home. What’s more, if you pay for delivery with your Flex Dollars, you will automatically earn five per cent back in University Bookstore Scholar Dollars that are redeemable towards merchandise (including textbooks) at the York University Bookstore. Chili’s is offering a 10 per cent discount if you pay for your order using YU-card Flex Dollars.
