Lane restrictions in place on Saturday for Steeles Ave. west of Jane Street

As part of the construction work on the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension, Steeles Avenue West will be restricted to one lane in both directions from Founders Road to Northwest Gate from 7am to 3pm on Saturday, Nov. 3 for line painting work. One lane will remain open eastbound and one lane will remain open westbound at all times. Due to the nature of the work, motorists and transit users may face traffic delays.

Paid duty officers will be present to direct traffic during the lane restrictions.

A new sidewalk is open on the north side of Steeles Ave. W., from west of Founders Road to east of Murray Ross Parkway. The sidewalk on the south side of Steeles Ave. W.,  at Northwest Gate is now closed.

Paid duty officers will be on Steeles Avenue West directing traffic during the lane restrictions. The speed limit in the construction zone has been reduced to 50 kilometres per hour and will be strictly enforced by Toronto Police.
